What’s the story behind one of your favorite designs?
I once made a paperclip chain out of actual paperclips.
What is your go-to travel jewelry?
I keep things simple when I travel… just my wedding band and my watch.
What are your go-to gifts from JTV?
Black spinel pendants and necklaces. First, black spinel comes in a great gift-giving price range. Second, everyone has a neck and most necks are around the same size. Third, black goes with EVERYTHING.
What is your favorite gemstone to work with?
I prefer to work with human beings. I find that gemstones communicate poorly and tend to be pretty lazy.
What is your process for designing jewelry?
I tell the jeweler what I need and *poof* it gets made several weeks later.
