8mm Platinum Cultured Japanese Akoya Pearl Rhodium Over Sterling Silver
18 Inch Necklace. Measures approximately 5/16 of an inch in width and
has a fishhook clasp. Colors, shapes, and sizes may vary.
What makes the Akoya pearl so lovely? Many people believe that it has to do with the depth of the waters ... the cooler temperatures ... at which the Pinctada imbricata (the Akoya pearl oyster) thrives.
This strand of cultured, Akoya pearls exhibits that luster so desired and so loved by pearl aficionados everywhere. However, the cultured Akoyas in this strand are also exceptional for their natural, silvery-platinum color.
