ABOUT THE ARTIST – Jim Kaufmann

He is a master … an artisan … a creator and crafter … he is a gemstone genius.

He is Jim Kaufmann and JTV is proud to announce that we have acquired a limited supply of his extraordinary Intarsia works. Not only are these pieces limited in number; they are also retired. Each is unparalleled in its quality, beauty, and craftsmanship. JTV has obtained vintage pieces from an amazing collection. Each miniature work of art is signed and numbered. They are available for purchase while supplies last.

Intarsia is an arduous, centuries-old art form in which small pieces of gem materials are inlaid together to form patterns or mosaics and set into a gemstone base. These works of art are one-of-a-kind pieces, no two are ever exactly the same – each is a unique piece to be treasured.

Jim Kaufmann is a three-time, AGTA Cutting Edge Award Winner. Every Jim Kaufmann intarsia masterpiece is meticulously handcrafted of superior-quality gemstone material. They date to the 1980s and 1990s. Each piece was assembled in the USA using gemstones sourced from around the world.
