As mining operations have narrowed in recent times, tanzanite’s future remains in question and supplies have dwindled as the Tanzanian government has intervened in mining operations. Said to be a thousand times rarer than diamond, tanzanite is unquestionably one of the world’s most sought-after and desirable gems.
