Jewelry designer Vanna K has been creating distinctively beautiful jewelry for as long a she can remember. So when she began to think about what could make her unique designs even more special, it didn't take long to determine that she needed her own signature stone cut. As she contemplated this entirely new cut, Vanna K thought about those things that set her apart from other jewelry designers. The truth is that a jewelry designer, or any artist for that matter, places something of herself in every creation. Vanna K's designs are exceptional because they're an extension of her own experiences, knowledge and passions. Family, history and her culture, all of which are full of love and beauty, inspired Vanna K's signature cut. The stone needed to reflect the depth of a rich heritage. Other aspects of Vanna K that fuel her inspiration are travel and ornate architecture. The stone needed to be brilliant like sparkling waters and sunny skies, as well as precise in structure like a perfectly designed building. And finally, she contemplated how she thinks. She has a love of philosophy and is multi-lingual. The stone needed to mean something special in addition to being beautiful.
Vanna K worked with master diamond-cutters to create the patented cut for her stones. She chose a round stone because the symmetrical shape captures light mostvisibly to the naked eye than any other silhouette, displaying the stone's beautiful sparkle. When researching the meaning of the shape, she found that the circle represents the notion of original perfection, and signifies life in general, which resonated deeply with her. Round gemstones are historically created with 58 facets, but to further enhance the radiant qualities of each Bella Luce? diamond simulant stone, the Vanna K signature Cut has been fashioned with 86 flawlessly polished facets. Every facet is hand-cut with precision using a proprietary method that creates maximum total internal reflection, achieving unbelievable brilliance.
