Herkimer Quartz Average 3.90ct 11mm Round Star Cut(Tm). The Gemstone Comes From Herkimer County, New York And Is Cut In Sri Lanka.
Made in the good 'ole USA! Herkimer Quartz is beautiful doubly terminated quartz crystals that are found primarily in Herkimer County in central New York State. Believed to nearly 500 million years old, each crystal is a magnificent work of nature found in the rock. Incredibly, when discovered, they appear to have been faceted by man and have a diamond-like geometrical shape; thus, the nickname - Herkimer Diamonds. The Herkimer Quartz Star Cut, which has 49 total facets, is a concave faceting design that further enhances the beauty of this remarkable gem! The girdle facets are cut at an angle to the girdle and spiral around the stone, giving your stone a flash of pinpoint reflections that look like the stars in a galaxy. Due to the nature of the concave design, your gem's appearance may vary slightly from depicted image.
