Product Information
Tanzanian pleochroic Green and Golden Brown Zoisite 13.49ct
16.07x13.01x9.68mm oval. The gemstone comes with a Stone Group Labs
Gemstone Identification and Origin Report. The stone has been appraised
by Craig Lynch G.G. for $8,025.00.
This 13.49 carat oval is from the famed hard rock mines in the Merelani Hills near Mount Kilimanjaro, Tanzania. This area has produced the world's only and finest blue zoisite, or tanzanite, to date. Very rarely these same mines produce some zoisite in extremely rare, fancy colors. This golden colored zoisite is one of the rarest of these fancy colors. Last year, for the first time, we were offered a small parcel of these yellow, golden zoisite gems. Our tanzanite suppliers estimate these fancy colors represent less than 0.25% of the entire production at the mines, making this exotic beauty an especially collectible gemstone!
