Versatile Forming Compound Kit includes a 1 pound bag of forming compound (Jett Sett), 16 ounce Pickle Pot and a 2-1/2" bend-to-fit Basket.
Jett Sett is a unique easy-to-use fixturing compound formulated from an advanced thermoplastic and ceramic material. It is used for stone setting and engraving as well as many other applications. Just heat it in hot water which warms the material allowing it to be formed in whatever manner is desired. Quick to set non-toxic biodegradable and versatile it will not stick to scratch or damage metal parts and can be re-softened and used again and again. It requires no special tools and will not chip or break even under extreme pressure or shock. Jett Sett can be formed into comfortable customized handles for your bench tools. It will also quickly and effectively mask your parts during sandblasting or glass bead blasting operations. The Pickle Pot is a stainless steel pot with a stoneware bowl. Capacity is 16 ounces. The Bend-to-Fit Basket is 2-1/2" with length of 6-3/4". This basket is offered in a straight form letting you do the bending. Simply hold the handle near the basket with a sturdy pair of pliers and shape to your liking.
