Product Information
Natural Melo melo pearl 30.14ct 17.72x15.48x15.10mm near-round. The pearl was harvested in Thailand. The pearl comes with a GIA Natural Pearl Identification Report has been appraised by Craig Lynch G.G. for $30,000.00.

A wonderful example of Mother Nature at her finest, a melo melo pearl is a natural marvel produced by the melo melo marine snail that inhabits the South China Sea. This exceptionally rare true "natural pearl" is most likely from the South China Seas near Viet Nam. It is unlike most pearls as it is non-nacreous, yet was created in much the same way as other pearls: its formation occurred when a foreign substance became trapped in the shell and was coated in calcium carbonate. While its composition is similar to a natural pearl, its porcelain-like, flame structure on its surface sets it apart. Extremely rare in occurrence, melo melo pearls are prized for their large sizes. This pearl is nearly round in shape and orange in color, placing it among the most desirable of the very few melo melo pearls that are known. The pinnacle addition to your pearl collection!
