Australian Hyalite opal specimen with inclusions approximately
2.6x1.6x1.2cm. The specimen was mined in Queensland, Australia.
Hyalite Opal is a highly transparent variety of colorless or white opal. It does not display play-of-color, but it fluoresces a bright lime green color under short wave ultraviolet light. Not previously known to be in found in Australia these stones and specimens were mined from a newly discovered pocket at Squaretop Mountain, Kaimkillenbun, SE Queensland, Australia and are of fine quality and clarity.
