Product Information

Ethiopian Opal 35.29ct 28.67x20.12x13.26mm oval cabochon. The stone is a near colorless crystal opal Type I with a multi color flashfire floral pattern. The gemstone was mined in Wollo, Ethiopia and cut in India. The gemstone comes with a Stone Group Labs Gemstone Identification and Origin Report. The stone has been appraised by Craig Lynch G.G. for $7,400.00.

From the newly famous Welo/Wollo Province in Ethiopia, this large high domed crystal white opal is nearly as good as it gets! Only a tiny percentage of gem caliber Ethiopian opal attains this size. This stone moves like a brush fire as large blocks of yellow morph into vivid orange flames which engulf and overtake the underlying forest of greens. For any opal enthusiast, this stone is a prized specimen. Included with this fiery and most precious opal are a gemstone identification and origin report by Stone Group Laboratories and a Craig Lynch appraisal with an estimated retail replacement value of $7,400.

These all natural stones are known to many as the "queen of gems". Ablaze with a kaleidoscopic range of fiery color and simply mesmerizing! Ethiopian Opal...no two stones are alike!
