Kathy Bradley was raised in North Alabama but has called Knoxville home since 1990. Ever since a 5th grade teacher told her she had "no artistic ability," she has been on a quest to prove her wrong. Kathy is always expanding her knowledge and has explored many different mediums to express herself. In 2008 Kathy began studying metalsmithing with precious metal, bronze and copper clays and has taken courses at six art institutions in Tennessee, North Carolina and Georgia. She often incorporates gemstones, lampworked beads and other glass beads into her designs. You can say that Kathy has proven that 5th grade teacher wrong after 30 plus years experience of fine craft media. Kathy shares her love of copper by teaching a course for the University of Tennessee's Non-Credit Program, classes at the Oak Ridge Art Center and in Knoxville at White Fox Bead Studio.
