Donate to Hurricane Helene Relief

As you may know, JTV is located in East Tennessee. While our offices were not impacted by Hurricane Helene, the devastation is just down the road.

To support those in need around us JTV is giving our amazing customers the opportunity to donate directly to the people that need it the most by supporting local organizations that have boots on the ground right now handing out food, water, and clothing.

East Tennessee Foundation

The East Tennessee Foundation (ETF) is a public charity and community foundation created by and for the people of East Tennessee. Many donors and organizations join together to make the region we love a better place – today, and for future generations.

ETF was established in 1986 and has since grown into a community foundation supporting 25 counties and is comprised of 497 charitable funds and 8 supporting organizations.

One of the charities ETF supports is The Pat Summitt Foundation , which was established by Pat and Tyler Summitt in 2011 after the legendary UT Women’s Basketball coach was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s.

World Central Kitchen

World Central Kitchen (WCK) is on the ground helping people in Asheville, NC with 6200-gallon tankers full of drinking water as well as setting up kitchens to feed families and volunteers. These trucks are capable of making multiple trips to Asheville in a 24-hour period, providing up to 100,000 gallons a day.

Currently, WCK is operating in four states: North Carolina, Tennessee, Georgia and Florida. The organization is working shoulder-to-shoulder with the local communities to blanket the devastated region with much-needed food and water aid.

Cocke County Partnership

The Cocke County Chamber of Commerce is spearheading donations for this community that has been so hard hit from the hurricane. This is also JTV Host Nikki’s community where she has lived her entire life. In the aftermath of Hurricane Helene, Cocke County is rallying together to support those most affected.

From monetary donations to essential supplies, donations can make a significant difference. This organization is not only collecting donations, but is a resource for residents who desperately need help.

Tennessee Voluntary Organizations Active in Disaster

Founded in 1991, the Tennessee Voluntary Organizations Active in Disaster is an affiliate of National Voluntary Organizations Active in Disaster (NVOAD), an association of organizations that mitigate and alleviate the impact of disasters, provides a forum promoting cooperation, and collaboration; and fosters more effective delivery of services to communities affected by disaster.

Tennessee Voluntary Organizations Active in Disaster is fully-vetted, experienced, and staffed by dedicated professionals who will get the most out of your generous donation. There are two options for you to be able to make a financial donation to TNVOAD for disaster recovery: Thru the advertised/posted relief funds during a disaster recovery as seen in the press or thru TNVOAD during a disaster recovery operation for the survivors.

Community Foundation of Western North Carolina

The Community Foundation of Western North Carolina is working with the Dogwood Health Trust and WNC Bridge Foundation in this disaster relief effort. All three organizations are nonprofits coordinating a response to assist those impacted. All administrative fees are waived so that every dollar goes directly to assistance.

The CFWNC is a nonprofit organization established in 1978 to build a permanent pool of charitable capital for the 18 counties of Western North Carolina. It works with individuals, families and corporations to create and manage charitable funds and make grants to nonprofits or public agencies in our region.
