Review This Product
Nice StoneAt a art festival in Florida I bought an Ametrine stone. I received so many compliments for that stone, Some people would just stare at it and say what a beautiful stone it was..and that was not just Florida. It was also in states along the way from Florida to NY and in NY. People in grocery stores, realtors, etc. So when I saw this stone offered by JTV, I wanted to see if it compared. No. It is not of the same quality even though it is not that much cheaper than the one I bought. The coloring is lighter. Overall it is a fairly good stone for its price. However, it doesn't compare with the one I bought in Florida. I have worn jewelry that is much more expensive that the Ametrine and did not get the same acknowledgement. Ametrines are beautiful stones. October 18, 2013

DisappointedThe stone is dark but 20% 80%. It is darker then another stone I returned. The 80% is citrine 20% amethyst. Debating on keeping it or returning it. June 10, 2013

hmm...well the clarity was good but...well, I love Ametrine and purchased this one because of how it looked on the turntable. When I received it and put it against my finger to see what it would look like, the color division as well as the color was washed out. However, when I put it down an a white surface (like your turntable) it was nice. I don't know if thats good enough for me. Purchased this because of the info from JTV about the happenings in bolivia.. Not thrilled with it, but given the situation with the future of the stone, I will have to decide whether or not to keep it. Undecided...sorry August 18, 2013

Good Color for the Most PartI purchased two to make a pair of earrings. I have champagne diamonds that were in a parcel that I purchased close to 7 years ago that will be added to make earrings pop. It's not a matched pair; however, I'm sure the earrings will turn out stunning just the same. One has stronger color than the other, but nevertheless they are approximately a 60/40 split. I'm pretty much satisfied with the purchase, and am eager to see the finished product. Compared to the prices of Ametrine other places, JTV is very competitive. August 18, 2013

Not too badI am only keeping this because it's some of the last Ametrine there will be in a while. I wanted darker, but will settle for this. It is a beautiful stone. Very clear, sparkles nicely even for an emerald cut. April 24, 2013

I'm happy!Wow! I know it's always a chance buying amitrine..you know whether the color and split will be good. But I took the chance and boy I'm happy I did! Color split is awful close to 50/50 and the colors themselves are great! I bought this as a wedding gift because of the love story behind it and I'm so glad it's such a beautiful stone. PALE-ISHThe colors of the gem I received were certainly not as dark and intense as the gem pictured. This lack of color intensity makes the separation less defined, giving the stone more of a "blended" appearance than the sharp contrast expected where the colors meet. April 24, 2013

The colors were not divided as well as the photo.Very little citrine is in the ones I received. I was disappointed in the stones and the division of the color. The photo should an even distribution of color and the stones I received are almost all amethyst and very little yellow can be seen. July 19, 2012
