Our recent offering of Masasi Blue Garnet™ in July 2011 represented the collection of a few pieces of rough here and there over several months.
Thanks to the special relationship we have built over several years with the vendor who first approached us with blue garnet, we have managed to secure another shipment of these phenomenal gems.

Our vendor just informed me of the “extreme challenge” he is experiencing in acquiring blue garnet rough. This is alluvial (surface) mining in a very remote area. The miners feel that the alluvial deposit is very picked over and may have to consider digging deeper to locate more masasi blue garnet rough. The blue garnet he is seeing is in smaller sizes and is over-toned (dark).
As always, JTV is committed to buying only the best of these goods. What you will find is that each piece is finely cut and exhibits a very dramatic color-change phenomena in addition to the super rare blue color of Masasi blue garnet!
This is one of the most significant gem finds in the last 10 years. Masasi Blue Garnet™ is a true collector’s gem. Make sure you have at least one of these gems in your collection!
