The product was not up to expectations. The lab created Tanzanite is 'so dark blue' it required a light aimed straight to the top of the stone to distinguish black appearance from blue color. Looking at it without this 'bright light' it is clearly closer to black than any shade of blue; I was shocked, I expected a 'pale blue color'. We always look for a more intense blue, but not 'black'. FINALLY ! ! !I have been trying to get a beautiful tanzanite ring for months. I got a real tanzanite ring, but it was too light. I got a bella that wasn't the right size and couldn't be resized. I got a tanzanite stone, but I couldn't afford the dark color. I knew I had to put a stone into a ring I designed with my old gold. So I tried this stone. BINGO. It is now at the jeweler with old gold, being made into a ring I can wear everyday. THANKS June 25, 2014
