Sr. Network Engineer

Functions/Responsibilities:

• Install, maintain and support a highly available
• Cisco network in a fast-paced enterprise environment
• Design, deploy, support and maintain networking systems:
• IOS devices in V/LAN and WAN configurations
• Cisco Wireless systems, including WiSM and Light weight AP's
• Cisco VoIP system including CM, Unity, IP phones, and IP communicator
• Monitoring and management tools, including PRTG,
• Network Instruments Observer Suite, Cisco MARS, and CiscoWorks
• F5 Networks BigIP GTMs, LTMs and Link Controllers
• Conduct network-related needs and cost/benefit analyses
• Consult with other technology teams
• Mentor junior staff & educate peers

Required Skills And Experience:

• 5+ years of Cisco Administration;
• Experience with Cisco & Juniper firewall technologies;
• Experience with monitoring tools like HP OpenView;
• Experience with Cisco Wireless technologies and Cisco Wireless Services Module;
• Experience with Cisco VoIP technologies;
• Experience with the OSPF routing protocol;
• Experience with application load balancing technologies;
• Experience with packet sniffers;
• Experience with VPNs, IDS and IPS;
• Excellent troubleshooting skills;
• Excellent customer service skills;
• Excellent verbal, written and diagramming skills;
• Familiarity with compliance regulations such as Sarbanes-Oxley and PCI-DSS;
• Ability to work closely with peers, team members and others in a collaborative manner;
• Cisco CCNP, CCDP or CCIE certifications, preferred;
• Cisco UCS administration, preferred;
• Work history supporting a 24/7 mission-critical network, preferred.

Candidate Must Demonstrate:

• Install, maintain and support a highly available
• At hand knowledge of IOS commands;
• Detailed knowledge of TCP/IP and the standards-based protocols that use it;
• Network security fundamentals;
• Analysis of packet traces;
• Long-hand diagramming of a sample network;
• Scripting abilities in Windows or Linux/Unix.
