Marketing Web Analyst

The Marketing Web Analyst is responsible for Jewelry Television’s web analytics implementation along with reporting and analyzing performance of online activity for multiple web properties. The Marketing Web Analyst, working with the rest of the Online Marketing Team, identifies trends and patterns to recommend and help formulate effective marketing strategies.


• Administers Omniture, and is the go-to resource for training and support.
• Manages the ongoing utilization of Omniture by ensuring that all marketing channels and promotions are tracked, identifying abandonment issues and developing options to improve conversion, and ensuring the accuracy of the analytics implementation by validating the data collected.
• Develops and analyzes standardized reporting to monitor/evaluate existing and potential online marketing initiatives.
• Drives integration of email and website analytics customer segments based on click, browse, and purchase behavior.
• Responsible for integration points between all other 3rd party technology partners, including Demandware, Responsys, BazaarVoice, Certona, etc.
• Works with Email Marketing Administrator to provide campaign analysis and reporting on list health, email acquisition rates, and revenue.
• Performs ROI analysis of various marketing channels to determine best profit opportunities.

• Provides analysis of graphic assets on all sites, including but not limit to, split testing and path analysis.
• Evaluates merchandise performance on sites and monitors search activity (both paid search and natural).
• Compiles and analyzes reports on mobile website and applications.
• Evaluates Paid Search effort and offers suggestions for improvement to our paid search agency.
• Assists in developing marketing initiatives to expand site(s) customer base and to optimize sales.
• Stay current on latest trends in web measurement strategies and tactics.
• Other Job duties as assigned.


• BS/BA degree in mathematics/statistics, computer science, economics, or a quantitative field, preferred.
• 3 years working as a website analyst or direct marketer (Ecommerce preferred).
• Experience in web analytics is required – experience with multiple platforms a plus (Omniture, Google Analytics, Coremetrics, etc).
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills required.
• Experience working with large data sets, writing SQL queries, structuring reports.
• Outstanding written/verbal communication skills with experience distilling and presenting complex quantitative analysis.
• Understanding of web best practices and web conversion metrics.
• Ability to work in a fast paced, highly collaborative environment.
• Comfortable working expediently against quick turnaround times.
• Comfortable writing executive presentations of data findings/recommendations.
