The discription says this ring in rhodium over sterling, but on the description below it says only the prongs are rhodium. Is it rhodium plated?

Yes it is plated. But very strong.. I have many rings that are plated and take them to the jeweler about once a year depending on how much i wear them.. I Will have them re plated. You can not go wrong with it. The prong are more then likely rhodium and the entire ring is plated. Hope this answered you question.Gender: Male

In this case, in looking at the metal attributes below the description, it appears that rhodium has been used only on the prongs. JTV often uses tinted rhodium around stones to make them appear larger. Rhodium is a harder finish than sterling and may add a little durability also. While rhodium over sterling can also be white, as in much of the Bella Luce line, in this case, I think just the brown finish on the prongs are rhodium. I do not own this piece and am giving just my interpretation of the description.Gender: Female
