This beautiful yellow Garnet comes from a few different spots like Mali, Madagascar, Pakistan, Russia, Tanzania and Vermont. It is in the Grossular family of Garnets between Grossular & Andradite sometimes called Grossularite. It can be a light yellow to a bright lemon yellow or yellow green or lime green. It has a high refractive index so it sparkles like or even better than a Diamond. Is it rare - well go to a jewelry shop and ask for it, i bet you don't find it and if you do its a fortune. So i would say its hard to find.Gender: Male

The name garnet actually refers to a family of 15 distinct minerals. All members of the garnet family share the same basic atomic structure and are closely related, but they differ in chemical composition which cause their variations in color. Yellow garnet is not as rare as the green-yellowish green demantoid garnet but is not as prevalent as the red-brown varieties. Yellow garnets can also be found in Kenya, Madagascar, Sri Lanka, Russia, Brazil, Canada and the United States, as well as Tanzania.Gender: Female

Hi there- very little in the public literature addresses either the rarity of yellow garnet (other than it's being a grossular garnet) or where it's sourced from. Either this suggests a lack of available information (rarity) or perhaps even a lack of popularity.
