The Presidium Mulit Tester III has been developed to distinguish between diamonds and moissanite using the combined principles of Thermal and Electrical Conductivity. The measuring probe, with its electronic circuitries is designed to detect and segregate data collected from the gemstones via a customized microcontroller. The information gathered will be displayed within seconds. This instrument has been designed with the following objectives. First, aid in identification of diamonds and moissanite with a single instrument. Second, provide consistent and reliable test results and finally, enhanced ergonomic features, such as visibility of test results, maximum grip comfort, and ease of use and portability. Features include no waiting time between tests. Clear LED display, with 180 degree vision to provide multiple angle viewing display. Ergonomically enhanced rubber grip for maximum comfort. Built in metal detector, low battery indicator and automatic power off function. Operates on three AAA batteries (not included). Alkaline batteries should be used as they have a life of approximately 2.5 hours of continuous use. Ordinary batteries may be used but will give a shorter working life.
