Answer:
I'm not sure I have enough information to tell you exactly what you need, but here are two possible answers. If a show is on and the presenters say you can shop ahead, you have to go on-line and click on the "Airing Now" button on the left hand side of the screen. When that comes up, you will see a line at the top that says. "View All Show Items." If you click on that, you will see everything that is being presented in that show and can order before it is aired and perhaps sold out. If you are not watching a show but want to see what is new in a category, click on any of the categories at the top of the screen, like "Jewelry", "Gemstones", or "Jewel School", then sort the items by NEWEST. That will show you items that have just come in even before they are presented on the air. So if you aren't going to be home when the Mystic Topaz are presented, for example, you can see what is new in inventory and place your order ahead of time. Hope your solution falls within one of these possibilities. And hope I have helped. Good luck.

Click AIRING in left corner, for whats on right now. Then in the large box that shows the items there is in the top left corner VIEW OTHER ITEMS, it will show other items that will be in their show. That way you can get a jump on what might be on sale or specials.

Answer:
The best way is to use the web site. All 40,000 items are there. You can log onto the currently airing pieces and look ahead at all the items the host will be showing way before they are aired. You can also shop previously aired programs. I've also noticed that by ordering by web the shipping charge is usually $6.99 for the first item instead of $7.52 when ordering by phone. However, once you've ordered then log off, if you go back later to order more on the web, (and they are offering the $3.99 s/h additional items), the web does charge you again the $6.99 for the next item. Whereas by phone you can call anytime within the 24hrs of your first order and all subsequent orders are shipped at $3.99. Always take advantage of free shipping, or $1.99 s/h if you're ordering multiple items. Using the web is great just search thorougly for everything you want that day and place them all in one order to avoid paying the $6.99 over and over within the same day after you've logged off. Also esp with chains and rings, the web page often gives detailed info about width, size/carat wt of accent stones. Chains are often VERY thin, like 1/32" extremely fragile be careful about these super offers of 14kt gold chains for $30 or $40 they can break if you sneeze too hard!!I've had them literally crumble in my hand just from trying to hook the spring-ring clasps.

Can you give me information about Moldavite?

I ordered a ring with a Moldavite gemstone and I love it. Could you tell me about where it comes from and some of the history of it? Thank you.

Answer:
Moldavite is actually a Tektite that is created when a meteorite hits earth. The intense heat melts what ever part of earth it hits, splatters and cools just that quick to become a Tektite. A good Tektite is one that is made from a sandy soil. The green Tektite comes from an area in Russia Bohemia & Moravia, Czech Rep. The Fusion age - 15,000,000 years Probable source: Ries Crater, Germany. So is a Tektite or Moldavite the same from deep space. Well parts of that meteorite had to go somewhere so some of the inclusions in a Moldavite could have come from space. Also what ever was around the Meteorite can be part of your Moldavite. Some of my Moldavite has gas bubbles little black specs, streaks of dirt or something from space and thats what i look for in a Moldavite, because those little particles could be part of the Meteorite from space.

Answer:
The story of moldavite is a fascinating one! Moldavite is a form of tektite, a natural glass thought to have formed between 14.7 and 20 million years ago when a meteorite collided with earth. Moldavite is composed primarily of silicon dioxide, has a hardness of 5 on the MOHs scale, and the translucent green to brown form is currently only found in the Moldau River area in Czechoslovakia. I recently purchased a lovely 1.2 carat stone for my father in law, an avid gemstone collector. He loved it, had never heard of it before.

Answer:
Hi, celticqueen1129. I wonder if you have the red celtic hair to go with the green moldavite? I love moldavite, too. I think there is a site on JTV that tells more about Moldavite, but here is a little more information. It was formed when a meteorite hit the earth in a specific region, something like the Moldalve Valley in Europe, and fused with minerals on the ground unique to that region. That is the only place it is found. It is also one of the few types of glass to be legally catagorized as a gemstone. So it is actually a green glass made by a meteorite and natural elements that formed glass. I think obsidian is another glass gem. I like moldavite even better than emeralds. You just can't beat that green color in my opinion. Do a little more on-line research and find out more of the story. It will be worth the education. Hope this helps you get started.

Answer:
Moldavite is a gemstone in the tektite group. It exhibits a bottle-green to brown-green color. On Mohs' scale of hardness, moldavite is 5.5. A natural glass, moldavite has a vitreous luster.

One of the greatest mysteries of our time surrounds the rich olive gemstone, moldavite. Moldavite is a form of tektite. Derived from the Greek word tektos, “to melt,” tektite is a naturally occurring glass believed to have extraterrestrial origins. Moldavite is thought to the creation of a meteorite that fell to the earth 15-20 million years ago.

Is the special discounted shiping promotion only available if you call in rather than order online?

I placed a couple of orders online and I've never called into the show itself. I like to shop online rather than call in but on my order status is says shipping $6.99 on days it should have been $1.99

Answer:
Usually on the days there is a shipping promotion, there is a shipping promotion both places, but they may be different. For example, on-line the promotion my be all items $1.99 or Free Shipping if the total order is over $49. But at the same time if you call in, the special will be pay shipping for the first item of the day and get free shipping on all items the rest of the day. Sometimes the shipping only applies to items that are not on sale, are over a certain amount, or that have no other specials attached to them. I have had some discounted shipping that didn't post correctly on-line and when I called in and told them, they placed the order for me and still gave me the on-line shipping price. One day the whole site had $1.99 shipping per item and I couldn't get a 10% off coupon to post. I called in and they posted the discount and left the shipping at $1.99. Don't just settle for something you think is not right. There are lots of variables. Call in and find out what the problem is with each case until you figure out what the exact rules are. JTV has some of the friendliest CS reps around. No "Peggy in India" there. You won't be stuck on the phone forever and no one will argue with you. Bottom line is, it should work on-line, but sometimes it doesn't. Call if you can. Hope this helps.

Answer:
The websites states, at least as of 12:06 am on 2-10-12, that there is free shipping on online orders of $75.00 and above. If you have any problems with the website accepting coupons or discounts, don't hesitate to call JTV. The representatives are friendly, helpful, courteous and always happy to help. I had trouble with the website accepting a coupon for an order I placed yesterday and the representative went up and above to take care of the order, making sure I received all the discounts I qualified for. Hope this helps!

Answer:
You need to call a Customer Care Associate to get help with this question. The number is 1-800-550-8393. It is a free call. I know they offer a protection plan that you can buy when you buy your jewelry, I forget what it's called now, but they repair or replace the item within a certain time if something happens to it, so perhaps they do have a way to help you. If not, go to a jeweler and get them to give you the dimensions of the gemstones that were lost, they need to be exact, and maybe JTV can help you find replacement stones in their inventory. It would be much much cheaper to buy them from JTV than a jeweler. I know you must be disappointed that the stones fell out. If it was in silver, take special care with all your silver rings. The jewelry industry as a whole are putting gemstones in prongs in silver that are too soft for more than gentle wear in my opinion. I hope they will evolve a better method, maybe use gold prongs on silver to keep the cost down and maintain the strength. But for now, good luck with replacements. Hope this helps.

Answer:
A couple of things- First if you bought the protection plan they will replace the accent stones NOT the center stone, at least thats what Ive been told. It would have been $9.99 added to your amount, so check on that first. If not, measure the stones & try to find the correct ones on their website. Course the color MAY VARY. I noticed that my center chrome diopside is cracked, so I just bought 2 of them just in case it broke. I HAVE noticed that sometimes the stone can be MORE than the ring - BUMMER. OR you can change the types of stone/s for a completely new look. Or call your JTV rep & they can have you talk to a special dept. & maybe they have an alternative to your delema. They have helped me out in all KINDS of ways. They really want to make us happy. Hope all ends well.

Who makes up the names for mystic topaz?

Some names describe a color while others(sidekick, boogie) are a bit more esoteric.

Hi, majorp. I've often wondered the same thing. I heard from someone that Mystic Topaz is a tradmarked name and the people who own the trademark are responsible for assigning the names to the colors. My guess is that they area not English and something gets lost in the translation!! Maybe the foreign word means 'two soul mate colors' and someone translated it to 'sidekick'. Of course, paint colors are the same way, sometimes they have nothing to do with color, but I'm with you. Who the heck does name those gems? I recommend that the moderator of questions pass on a suggestion that the on-air presenters start mentioning that answer when they are selling Mystic Topaz. It will give them something interesting to add to their pitch. I'm sure others would like to know. Hope this helps.

A husband and wife team have the unique patent on this incredibly beautiful treatment process which topaz takes on very well. They create these often comical names. Some names give clue to the beauty color combinations which emerge, others are just names: ex: turbulant purple, moonglow (kind of infer color) then there's boogie thru life! just a name!
